"Torta del Lupo" Chocolate Cake

A special dessert that combines the delicious aroma of chocolate with the Montepulciano red wine. The Torta del Lupo is a dessert dedicated to the village of Pretoro (Ch) and its medieval origins located at the foot of the Majella mountain. The Torta del Lupo di Pretoro is a typical dessert made with black chocolate, red Montepulciano wine together with rum. The filling is with gianduia-flavoured chocolate. Often the Torta del Lupo is a worthy conclusion to a Sunday lunch or a day of celebration accompanied by a passito liqueur, but it can also be enjoyed as a snack.

Perfect as a "cadeau" for anniversaries and special events. Also much appreciated as a gift at company dinners and as a "unique piece" in Christmas baskets.
