Destination Abruzzo provides more flexible booking policies in order for you to plan your future travel with complete peace of mind.

Booking Process
Booking can be made via our website at www.destination-abruzzo.com
Your booking is not confirmed until you receive a booking confirmation from us.
A contract will exist between us from the date we issue the booking confirmation and Invoice.

Tour Price: Prices are per person based on double occupancy, quoted in US dollars, and are set well in advance of the trip departure date.
Once you book your Destination Abruzzo Tour, your price is guaranteed.
Prices cover land costs only; they DO NOT include airfare to and from Italy.
Tour prices include baggage transfers, porterage and all ground transportation during your trip. Please see the web page for each tour for the specific details for all items included in the trip price.

Tour Deposit: The deposit for scheduled trips is 25% of the tour cost.
Deposits may be made by major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express).
Your deposit follows a super flexible policy according to the terms outlined in the chart below.
Paying your balance: Your Final Payment is DUE LATER rather than 95 days as per industry standards. The balance of your tour cost is due according to the terms outlined in the chart below. We automatically bill your credit card when the balance is due unless otherwise instructed. If the final payment is not received when due, Destination Abruzzo reserves the right to cancel your reservation.

Cancellation & Transfer Policy
If you must cancel your reservation, your cancellation fee will be determined according to the terms outlined in the chart below. Cancellation fees are per person.
​On scheduled Tours, transfers to another tour or to a holding account for a future trip are only allowed before final payment, after which time our cancellation policy applies.
If the tour cost more than your original one, you must pay the difference.
Exceptions to our cancellation policy cannot be made for any reason, including weather, terrorism, civil unrest or personal emergencies. There is no refund for arriving late or leaving a tour early.
Private rooms, staterooms are considered part of the total trip cost and are subject to cancellation fees. Percentage charges are calculated on total trip cost.
Cancellation by Us
We will only cancel tours due to unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances which are
out of our control or which might concern your safety. If we cancel your tour then we will notify you as soon as possible and we will always refund you in full, for all sums paid by you.
We reserve the right to cancel departures in cases of force majeure or the failure of third parties – such as hotels, ships or campgrounds- to honor their reservations, in which case all payments received to date will be refunded, which constitutes full settlements.
Destination Abruzzo is not responsible for expenses that are incurred in preparation for any cancelled trips, such as airline tickets, or for costs that are incurred due to travel delays, flight cancellations or illness. All policy subject to change.
Alterations in Travel Plans
Alterations in itinerary may occur for a number of reasons, including but not limited to severe weather conditions or at the sole discretion of Destination Abruzzo and subject to supplier terms and conditions. If a property, supplier, activity, or area is replaced for any reason, it will be replaced with a similar or better service.
Tour Postponed due to Travel Restrictions
We will be reviewing tours by 50 days prior to departure (or closer as the situation changes) to determine if it is safe and feasible to run the tour. If your trip is postponed, we will place 100% of your trip funds (including Travel Protection Plan, if applicable) on account along with an additional credit per guest to be used for future travel.
Travel Insurance Coverage
Medical / baggage and travel cancellation insurance coverage is not included in the tour cost but recommend to purchase prior to embark in your tour.
We can provide suggestions and travel insurance coverage option upon request.
Covid-19 Health & Safety Policy
Now more than ever, being able to travel the world with confidence is necessary. When on a Destination Abruzzo tour, take comfort in knowing that you will travel, from start to finish, with a select group of like-minded travelers. Your well-being is our top priority and with our comprehensive approach outlined below, you can have peace of mind that when you travel with us you are in good hands traveling together.
Hygiene Protocols & Distancing
- Hand sanitizer is accessible and freely available. We ask that you bring your own face mask and gloves, but in the case of emergency, personal protective equipment will be distributed to you.
- With our smaller groups and uniquely reconfigured coaches with fewer seats, you can travel as part of a social travel bubble and still maintain your physical distance and benefit from more personal space.
- We personally made a quality assurance of all hotels, restaurants and other venues you visit during each journey. Quality checks will ensure that all travel partners meet local regulations and protocols.
- All frequently touched surfaces inside your coach — including handrails, doors, tables, overhead lockers — plus your luggage handles, will be disinfected multiple times each day.
Private Transportation

- The vehicles used for our tours are Grand Turismo 30 seater buses to ensure social distancing.

- The bus will be sanitized often following to the COVID-19 sanitation protocols.
Accommodation and Other Services
The cost of each tour is based upon accommodation in twin-bedded or double rooms. A
supplement will be charged for those booking a single room and will be notified at the
moment of booking, as the supplement may vary according to the type of tour. Clients
should generally expect the single room to be smaller and not located in the best part of the hotel.
Double rooms for single occupancy, booked on payment of a nominal fee, may sometimes be smaller than double rooms normally allocated to two people. All room types are subject to availability.
Considerations
As we’ve learned during this past year, what makes sense today may not make sense tomorrow. Please understand that we reserve the right to change these policies without prior notice due to this very fluid and unpredictable situation.
